The training and exercise sessions will seek to meet the following objectives: 1. To enhance the preparedness and response capabilities of St. Charles Parish emergency responders and stakeholders in managing hazardous materials incidents. 2. To familiarize participants with incident management concepts though the use of a realistic disaster scenario and modeling. 3. To facilitate collaboration and coordination among stakeholders involved in hazardous materials incidents. 4. To evaluate existing response plans and procedures through practical exercises. Each three-hour in-person session will cover a range of topics related to hazardous materials management and incident command, including: • Overview of what are hazardous materials and key points for effective response operations • Review of relevant hazardous materials response case studies • Overview of the Incident Management Framework • Discussion on preparing for and planning out hazardous materials response • Express Tabletop Exercise using Disasterville including a facilitated discussion and debrief
