Description

This course provides a foundational understanding of ensuring a safe environment for players, staff, and attendees of large gathering competitive events. Participants will receive foundational and practical knowledge in the following subjects and topics:
• Understanding and Implementing Sports & Entertainment Security
• Pre-event Procedures
• Developing & Refining Action plans
• Risk Assessment & Threat Identification
• Crowd Management & Access Control
• Post-Incident Considerations
By the end of the course, participants will have received a comprehensive all-hazard approach to plan an integrated response to address various security concerns for sporting events and large spectator gatherings.

This is a 2-day course. This class is split into different times:

Day one is 12 pm to 4 pm
Day two is 8 am to 12 pm

**If lodging/meal is requested, GOHSEP will coordinate with LEPA & the Double Tree Hotel and will send out a confirmation email to participants. DEADLINE for requesting lodging/meals: June 3, 2025. Confirmation emails will be sent by June 6, 2025 or before. Check-in will be after 3:00 pm on June 10th (after class) pending request.
