This course provides parish and city staff with information specific to the Preliminary Damage Assessment (PDA) process; roles and responsibilities; collection of information for the PDA; methodologies for conducting damage assessments; and general program specifications.
Virtual option will be provided for those who cannot attend in person to participate in course.

This course describes how the NIMS Command and Management component supports the management of expanding incidents and the incident/event management process for expanding incidents and supervisors as prescribed by ICS. It also implements the incident management process on a simulated Type 3 incident and allows students to learn how to develop an Incident Action Plan for a simulated incident.

Focusing on the responsibilities of the positions assigned to the Planning Section, ICS-341 is designed to enhance and exercise the student’s knowledge of the planning section and the planning process (initial response and during the transition to extended response operations using an Incident Action Plan). This course emphasizes the needed interactions between all positions in the planning section, as well as interactions with the entire Incident Management Team and external entities. This course is an instructor-led training that supports learning through discussion, lecture, and active participation in multiple exercises that provides a realistic, hands-on approach to mastering the skills required of a Planning Section.

The target audience for this course is senior personnel who are expected to perform in a management capacity in an Area Command or Multi-agency Coordination Entity. This course provides training on and resources for personnel who require advanced application of the Incident Command System (ICS). This course expands upon information covered in ICS-100 through ICS-300 courses. This course will include but not be limited to: major and/or complex incident/event management, area command, and multi-agency coordination. This course is designed to provide overall management skills rather than tactical expertise.

ICS-410 Advanced Incident Commander is a four-day CG position specific course and is designed to meet the training requirements of the Incident Commander in a Type 1, 2 or 3 incident (equivalent to S-400).

Community Emergency Response Team training

This course will help you to identify those characteristics and principles that will allow you to become an inspirational leader. This course must be completed within 2 years of promotion. This course is a pre-requisite to "CPTP 2015 Group 1 Capstone."
