LEMC-OHSEP New OHSEP Staff Orientation

The course will provide New OHSEP staff the necessary knowledge and tools to form a collaborative partnership with GOHSEP. This course is designed to assure interagency collaboration between state and local entities to prevent, prepare, respond, recover and mitigate from disasters that impact Louisiana. GOHSEP will provide helpful tips and answers to common FAQs. There will be representation from each GOHSEP Division available to answer questions or provide guidance.

GOHSEP’s Public Assistance Director of Field Operations, GOHSEP’s Director of PA Grants Management and Tangipahoa Parish’s Director of Finance will be presenting on what it takes to get a parish declared, what documentation is needed and why to work toward meeting the threshold, and discuss the required turnaround time. The presentation will include what documentation FEMA is requiring for PA reimbursements and steps the applicant can take to assure that PA reimbursement documentation is complete.
Examples will be provided demonstrating proper documentation techniques and helpful guidance on how to prepare ahead of time.

LEM-P Louisiana Emergency Manager Professional

LEM-T Louisiana Emergency Manager Technical

The Louisiana Emergency Manager Technical (LEM-T) credential was designed by LEPA to provide credentials to emergency management professionals who are not seeking credentials of an LEM-B or LEM-P. LEPA recognizes and awards the LEM-T credential to personnel proving mastery in the occupational fields illustrated within the National Response Framework. These fields are listed below:

Transportation: Aviation, maritime, surface, railroad, and pipeline transportation.
